Revolutionary Hudson Valley (RHV) is a consortium of representatives from nine counties comprising New York State’s Hudson Valley. We are dedicated to promoting educational programming and heritage tourism exploring the revolutionary moments in our region that helped shape 250 years of the American Republic.
GOALS:
Encourage region-wide participation in the Rev250 commemorative cycle and lead specific projects of regional significance.
Ensure that the revolutionary people, places, and events connected to each member county receive attention.
Represent our region in State-level planning to help create a successful Rev250 experience for New York State.
METHODS:
Maintain communications with our stakeholders through e-blasts, a website, and social media.
Hold quarterly meetings to share news and facilitate planning for Rev250 initiatives.
Send representatives to state and national level meetings in order to share our region’s plans and gather relevant information.
Seek out large funding sources to support regional initiatives.
Utilize AASLH Rev250 Interpretive Guidelines to encourage and assist organizations within our region as they plan interpretive programming.
